I can’t masquerade anymore.
I pull off my mask .
You finally see what has been hidden.
The pain, the scars cut to deep
they never have healed.
No matter how much fixing they’ve try.
I still feel blood seeping from the wounds,
that day, you cut my love away.

MY WIP has a girl who was attacked and left
with scars down her face that could be minimized, but the
thought of having a knife  to her face again, she can’t do.
So the scars are her armor.
So this is a double vision- if that makes sense??
