I’m leaving you behind for a short time.

This journey I have to make by myself
but you will be in my thoughts
all the while.

How I wish your were here with me now.

The experience would be so much richer.

But as they say things happen for a reason.

The knowledge I will learn will
enrich us all till the end of time.

where fantasy fades into reality

some keep recoloring that line

making it darker and darker

so reality won’t creep in

some welcome the disappearance

sometime we need a dose of

reality to ground us

because fantasy is not always what it seems.

Things happen that can’t be changed.

No matter how hard you would
like them to.

But for now you can make things
better with what went wrong.

You learn and love that was there
and will always remain in your heart.

I will not on what we did,
because in some ways we really didn’t.

The scale has been tipped and
one side has come crashing down.

I knew the lines were drawn, in the sand
but one of them had been erased,
you motioned me over.

I have gone back to the other side
and redrew that line.

It will never be the same, but I
don’t regret a thing.

I experienced something I’ve never had,
you nudged it out in the open.

How many times do we hear that phrase!

How many times do we repeat it to ourselves?

Its when  reality steps up front and center.

Its slaps us across the face knocking us to the ground .

We remember the lesson of!

Fire crackles as the flames
burn from end to end.

The wood is like my heart it is
solid then begins to crumble
apart and soon ashes are the
only thing left.

You should have taken better care
of the fire that burst with love
among the flames.
