I Stand

alphacoders wyntermoonchylde

I stand before the iron gates
pondering my decision
many have stood in this very spot.

I know once I step through
nothing will ever be the same.

I’m on a mission with an important message
for those that live behind these
walls of stone.

I take a deep breath, close my eyes
and put one foot in front of the other.

I hear the iron gate close behind me
and I hear “Welcome My Little One”

My eyes open and Oh My What BIG!

Inner Demons

Inner Demons
Everybody has them, some talk about
their faults or those of others.
Some of us feel them and they are
apart of our souls-thou they
do raise their voices now and again.
Reminding us we aren’t as strong
and in control as we would like to think.
We quiet them the best way we know how,
so that they won’t consume us all the time.

My Wiring

My wiring
is not the same
one color does not always go with
another as someone else does.

You can’t go to Lowe’s and pick up a breaker
because I have blown one of mine and find
a replacement, they don’t have my kind.

I don’t turn on at dusk all the time,
sometimes I’m dim and sometimes I’m bright.

I’m just wired differently, that is just who I am.

The Perfect of Imperfect

So many will tell you what is wrong with something
that was created.

The notes are flat, the painting isn’t finished- right?
Your writing needs work- maybe you should keep
your day job and just give up!

Nothing is perfect all the time.

You can be imperfect because you took a chance
and let your creativity soar if only for yourself.

So imperfect is just perfect at times.

The Past

Harman Lab

The past becomes a slideshow in our minds.
We can pause and relive that moment or
just slowly let that memory slide by.

The past is a journal when the ink has faded and
the paper has yellowed, but we pick it up and the ink
is once again fresh as it was when the words spilled
onto the pages.

Every new day, adds another moment to the
slideshow of our lives.
