Standing on the edge looking down
I see sharks circling waiting to
take a bite, wanting me to feel
the terror and pain.

Someone tosses them something
to busy themselves.
Someone who doesn’t seem to understand
what inflicting pain can do and feel like.

Standing on the edge looking down
the shark’s no longer circle.
Now you know why I was screaming
and crying in pain.
