Chaos in the day job

We are going through a massive remodel at work, it started in October this is a glimpse of the upstairs from a month or so ago, putting sprinklers, new ceiling tiles, ducting, lights, paint and flooring that needed replacing. All of the salesman stuff is above the landing of my office and they are in a job trailer in the parking lot. They hoped once they got finished upstairs, they would move out of the trailer and part of downstairs could move, with a few using the upstairs space temporary.

This is where the main bathroom used to live, all the bathrooms are gutted in some form and we are using potty trailers. They are making the bathrooms ADA compliant and the men’s larger so they don’t use the ladies at times. This area is back behind my office, lots of jackhammering, dust. The room in the background is the pump room for the sprinkler system. They hoped to finish upstairs, move the salesman back up, move downstairs peeps to the trailer and a few of us temporary upstairs- Yeah that is not going to happen, so we downstairs are moving to a doublewide job trailer in the parking lot this week.

I’m the person, worrier who has been asking where are we going to put file cabinets, and other things we still need to do business, plus office furn, etc… I havn’t been getting alot of answers, and I’ve been very frustrated so part of the reason I havn’t been on much. Plus dealing with the button pushing Yahoos has made me short fused, questioning things that I have done for 25years?

My office of the last 30years, it was the old file room and the wood cabinet housed all the patch panels, switches, old telephone system, camera hardware- we just kept adding as needed. The clean carpet marks are from all my file cabinets, safe, printer and everything else that I keep track of. There was actually 2 of us here for a short time. With the remodel downstairs, for me I get to lose the cabinet and gain the wall space since the data is all going upstairs, new lights, paint, floor and I get a fixed window in a top corner to see out to the warehouse- *finger crossed new desk furn*. But all my stuff from my walls, shelves, knick knacks and everything else has been in boxes on my living rm since October- reason for my moodiness and why I didn’t decorate for the season this year.

This is part of our showroom and counter sales, new ceilings, lights, paint and fix up previous flooring, or replace, turn the counter sideways, build new offices in the back, built in desks, etc…. Most of the downstairs was moved the last few days- don’t ask where we put everything??? The last redo was done in 2016, so we are due!!!!

This is my space in the trailer, Yeap the data stuff goes where I go-lol. Along with the copier and other items them said needed to live with me. It will only be until March????

So, I’m still around, sorry to be so quiet, just alot going on.
