You sent me away

Flickr waiting for a lie

You sent me away because you said, you loved me
and it would only be for a little while.
Minutes have gone to hours, days and weeks
I have lost count now.
I still wear the royal blue dress you gave me
though it is tattered and worn now.
I lay on these rocks, waiting for you to
come for me
But the waves keep rolling in
taking only the sand back with it.
Maybe I will let the waves take me that
way, maybe I’ll get back to you.
